Fast delivery on an excellent product. The headlights installed easily the provided 1A Auto instructional video was most helpful , and they were even aligned near perfect out of the box. Glad I trusted 1A Auto. I ordered a set of headlights from 1A Auto because they have the best deals on parts, and they arrived within a couple days! They look and fit great! This is definitely my go-to for parts now. Did the job for me. Headlight set is what I needed.

Easy install. Excellent easy exquisite endearing enlightening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like the title above.. They Fit just fine but they are not OEM quality The headlamp holes and retainers are not precision molded but manageable Did it come with lights or is it just the headlamp assembly? It's been an issue on my car for years, but I didn't realize I could report it. There is excessive condensation in my passenger side headlight.

This issue lowers the headlight visibility the dealer said this is normal and should be corrected after 30 minutes of the lights being on. The issue still occurs and is consistent. The issue occurs while the vehicle is stationary and in motion. Low beam issue, I have had to replace my headlight numerous times and they keep going out without the bulb being bad.

Head lights bulbs are prematurely burning out. Tee bulbs were replaced at the Volkswagen dealership. One night while I was driving both of my headlights went out at exactly the same time and since then I have had to replace my bulbs twice and my daylight running lights. Repeated headlight failure. Driver and passenger headlight bulbs require replacement after months. My headlights keep burning out. I replaced them 4 times in the last two months! There was a point where both headlights burned out at the same time and I had no lights!

I did research on this matter to find many Jetta owners are having the same issue these bulbs are not cheap to keep replacing them every couple of months, and the safety issue has to be considered here. I was parked thank god o noticed no lights before o drove. If where I lived was lit up I never would have noticed both my bulbs were burnt out!. While driving various speeds or while parked, the horn failed to operate when pressed.

Also, the headlights inadvertently failed to illuminate without warning. Leith Volkswagen of raleigh capital hills drive raleigh, nc , was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the diagnostic fees. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure because the customer service number was busy.

The approximate failure mileage was 60, Headlights need to be replaced on. Does not matter the quality of bulbs that we buy they're burning out at least 3 times a year. Sometimes singularly but has happened to both headlights at same time before. This has been going on for several years now.

The contact owns a Volkswagen Jetta. While driving approximately 25 mph, the headlights failed without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlights and module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 35, Driving home at night, both lowbeam headlights stopped working.

The daytime running lamps still worked as did the high beams. I replaced one of the headlights with a new buld, and it still did not work. I've had to replace the low beam headlights 3 times within 18 months and now both low beam headlights do not work even after replacing the bulbs.

Vw has had recalls on other vehicles for a similar problem but this make and model was not included in previous recalls. Perhaps the scope of the problem is wider than originally thought. Tl- the contact owns a Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle 25 mph the vehicle spontaneously ignited into flames.

The failure happened without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle had an abnormal smell prior to the fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they diagnosed as the vehicle exterior headlights were the cause of the fire. The failure mileage was approximately 65, Both of the low-beam headlights stopped working as I was driving home on a unlit highway at night. The daytime running lights worked when I turned off the headlights, and the high-beam headlights worked when I tried using them.

The next morning I replaced both low-beam headlights and they still do not work. Brake Light Switch problems. Exterior Lighting problems. Brake Light problems. Turn Signal problems. Tail Light Switch problems. Hazard Flashing Warning Light Switch problems.

Turn Signal Switch problems. Just bought this car used for my 17yo daughter. Great directions. Saved myself the labor charge and got the satisfaction of successfully doing something complicated and mechanical. Thanks for the internet. Thanks so much for the directions.

My first headlight change ever, and you made it sooooo easy. Thanks for the help. Hey thanks for the clear directions. This was a huge help, I figured most if out and shared your pain with the battery in the way issue. Since it is my daughters care I employed her to put the bulb back in and afix the ring. She had no problem, I would have struggled for some time!

Small girlish hands….. Thanks for publishing this! Thanks RG: I turned off my day time running lights in my vw jetta. I removed the switch and put a piece of tape over the TLF pin. Now my lights will last twice as long.

RG says to turn off daytime running lights you can also pull out your switch by turning it to the off position pushing in firmly then turning to the right the whole switch will come out.

I have to go inside the trunk to have better room to work on it …. Okay, got the old headlight out of my Jetta but the replacement I got standard bulb does not fit. Do I have to go to the dealership now for replacements? Anyone else have this problem lately? Thank you, thank you!

Managed to get it all done without moving the battery, or cover. Once I realized there were 3 notches on the bulb that lined up with the little raised parts on the housing it was easy : After that the securing ring finally went on!

As mentioned above, second time round will be much quicker, but thanks for giving me the confidence to try it the first time. Thank you Kevin!! I am a woman and was able to easily get both light covers removed. The only tricky part that I struggled with only 15min was putting the light housing back in and twisting it.

Then I had a guy do it and he did it in less than 1 min! Still useful since your posting 6 years ago!! Thanks for keeping it up. I want to put brighter headlight bulbs in my Jetta 2.

Anyone have experience with this model year? It appears the battery in further back but the air filter section is tight to the driver side changing access point. Seems as if it would make sense on a blog about changing headlight bulbs that the blogger would put what kind of bulb you need to buy. This was perfect! It worked on a Jetta Sedan. Once I was able to twist that black plastic cover off, than the bulb came out reasonably easy. On a TDI, there is precious little room to move about and removing the battery is a huge help what with big hands like mine..

Take your time and all will be well. Thanks for the write up! And thanks for all the comments too. I want to thank you for this post.
