In our case we are setting the stepper motor speed to 50 revolutions per minute. Inside the loop function, we will first rotate the motor clockwise by using the step method and passing the steps per revolution as the argument inside it. Hence the motor will rotate at steps of per revolution. Likewise, to rotate the motor anti-clockwise we will pass the steps per revolution with a negative sign inside the step method.
Between the two types of rotations we will have a delay of 0. Additionally, we will print the type of rotation in the serial monitor as well. To see the demonstration of the above code, upload the code to Arduino. In your Arduino IDE, open up the serial monitor and you will be able to see the status of the motor rotation as well.

A stepper motor controller such as the ZD10LCD can quite clearly be seen to be both driving and controlling the stepper motor from the same unit. The person using the controller puts in the instructions they need and the controller part of the unit then issues instructions to the driver part of the unit which converts the instructions into the physical sequences that the motor needs in order to turn.
In simple terms the most important thing to understand is what you need for your project to work well and whether or not this is a stepper motor controller or driver.
