Xbox was the first independent project of Microsoft's on the gaming consoles market after a joint project with SEGA Company to develop a version of the Windows CE operating system for the Dreamcast console.
Anyhow, Microsoft have finished second in number of units sold leaving Sega and Nintendo behind, but still lost the first place to the PlayStation 2 by a large margin. The Microsoft was a huge Company by that time and it was dominating various IT sectors.
It helped the Company to enter the gaming consoles market easily and even push the existing players to the side. Later the battle on the game consoles market continued with next generation of Xbox, Xbox and Xbox One. By the time it was released it had the first in gaming consoles built-in hard disk drive used to store games, saves files and other necessary content. Although it was possible to copy game progress to other Xbox devices with the help of removable 8Mb SSD cards.
On November 15 of Microsoft launched its first online gaming subscription service called Xbox Live. By purchasing the subscription plan users could download games directly to the internal hard drive. At first users were unfamiliar with such a service and after the launch only thousand subscribers have signed up, however, after a while the number of subscribers have grown to 1 million in and reached milestone of 20 million by May But MS also has tools to detect mods as well.
Better safe than permanbanned. Safest method to prevent this from happening again is to use multiple saves, preferably on different storage devices. When you save, also save to the cloud. That way if one corrupts, you have another to use.
LuckNotDoWithEr 9 years ago Renamon 9 years ago This may work for other games, but Fable 3 does not let you have multiple saves, and you can't copy your save to another storage device, only move it.
JGA 9 years ago Fable 3 is one of the Microsoft published games that has copy-protected saves specifically to prevent modding, so the chances of getting detected and banned are probably higher than for a game that doesn't have such protection. It's an old game, so they're probably not actively looking for modded saves, but it could get automatically flagged by the system and you could find yourself in hot water if you go online with that saved game, especially since there are all sorts of meta-leaderboards tied in with Fable 3 and X-Box Live that tracks gameplay stats including gold earned and your position amongst friends who play Fable 3.
Well either way thanks for the info I just deleted the save to stop all the worrying, it was not worth it. I will just replay the game, But yeah the save did not mess with any stats but how much money I had which luckily was still less then someone on my friends list so I am pretty much safe now.
I may be wrong, but I think as long as it didn't give you unearned achievements you will be ok. Any sorts of mods have a risk of a permanent ban if you play with it online whether it gets you achievements or not. Really, just not worth it to do it. Back stuff up on the cloud or a USB so you don't have to worry about a save being corrupted. Don't forget that people have been banned permanently for modding their avatar skin color. And that gives no benefits at all. From all appearances, MS has a zero tolerance policy for mods.
So is editing a save file count as modding? Probably, yes, but it doesn't really matter. No one is going to report you for modding over a Fable 3 save, unless they are a complete douche. Quit worrying about it. PoloMan6 9 years ago 8. Cancel X. Topic Archived. Hello, I'm looking for a modded save for Fable 3, All I need is all the Legendary Weapons, all clothing, tattoos, hair and enough guild seals to open all the chests.
I can post my save if someone can mod it for me. I need it to not corrupt when I save the game. Send me a message if you have a save or can mod my save.
