Also the pic shows it is terminated with a T-connector. I wish this was noted. Not happy! This is a lot of heli for the money with crisp handling and lots of power.
I don't have nearby access to a field so I fly in my front yard, this heli is the perfect size to do that. Assembly was easy but make sure you remove the bolts and screws for EVERY pre-assembled metal part and locktite them. I missed the tail rotor grip bolts and nearly destroyed the thrust bearings on one side. The bolt had worked it's way out and it locked up the tail rotor pitch requiring an emergency autorotation.
The beastX's manual setup isn't bad once you get the hang of it. If you're a confident heli pilot the stock BeastX firmware will be fine. I'm an intermediate-ish pilot so I purchased the Pro firmware which added stability algorithms which really tamed the heli.
With the stock firmware, I was kind of chasing the heli around to keep a stable hover. With the pro firmware I could almost let go of the transmitter and it will hold. If you use StudioX, you can purchase the upgrade on the BeastX site and install it from the app. There are two issues with the pro firmware though: 1 switching into stability mode causes the swash to tilt to the right about 2 degrees which requires correction on the transmitter and 2 the aileron reverse control in the app didn't work, I had to change it on the transmitter.
The other reverse controls worked. I notified BeastX but I never got a response. Heli is awesome, Shiping was fast. Only problem is that Helidirect does not recomends and offers a battery that would fit propperly into the Heli. Also the canopy is not the one advertices in the box or the Helidirect webside.
Was as advertised instructions are junk no info on the gyro good thing to have internet to build it's not no one's fault but the manufacturer if you don't have internet don't buy. This is a custom built, please do not use any of the power system I have in mine to build your kit or you will Run into a lot of complications. This Helicopter is excellent!!! Correct size for fly in little space but have everything like a size I build very easy Vendor: Align.
